Fan Lyu (吕凡)

Personal Statement

I’m a Postdoc Research Fellow in the New Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA) supervised by Prof. Liang Wang . I achieved my PhD position supervised by Prof. Wei Feng in the College of Intelligence and Computing, Tianjin University (TJU). I was graduated from Suzhou University of Science and Technology as a master at 2018 advised by Prof. Fuyuan Hu. My major is Computer Application Technology, and my research focuses on Continual Learning and Computer Vision. At TJU, my research interests at present mainly focus on the Continual Learning (Also known as Lifelong Learning or Incremental Learning), which aims to continually learn new knowledge from a sequence of tasks over a lifelong time. However, current continual learning can not support the practical demands in the real world. Therefore, my main research goal is to make the continual learning more general in more scenarios. I also have good Computer Vision background and have studied and published on the areas including Multi-label image classification, Image Captioning, Visual Question Answering and Visual Grounding.
